Health

The World Health Organization (WHO) defines health as a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Health issues are cross-cutting and extremely important. Delays in taking care of illnesses can directly lead to death, which is a permanent irreversible situation. When unattended illnesses such as HIV, Ebola and other communicable diseases increase, as a result work output is diminished causing a decline in the economy. Consequently, resource requirements increase in terms of medical budget allocation. In fact poor health and poverty are correlated and interdependent.  Read More

Education

Education is an important tool of poverty reduction. Most learning institutions at the community levels from pre-primary, primary and secondary schools consist of poor infrastructure, with inadequate sanitation, and lack facilities. These factors contribute to the spread of diseases such as dysentery, bilharzia, and many other water borne diseases, especially in communities where illiteracy still exists. Read More

Community

The community at rural setting lack infrastructural development, which includes poor communication systems, transportation, rural energy, clean domestic water, sanitation, and recreational centres among other things. The foundation plans to mobilize communities and relevant government institutions to lobby for the establishment of these important infrastructures at the community levels. Read More
